YELLOW JACKETS AND BALD FACED HORNETS
​Yellow jackets and bald faced hornets are incredibly aggressive and very destructive. They both form an enclosed nest with no visible “honeycomb.” When you discover a nest somewhere on your property, it is best to have it treated immediately.
By law, over the counter treatments must contain an odor. That odor will drive them away from the nest opening. Yellow jackets have chewing mandibles that allow them to chew through the walls of your home and force their way in if they are unable to escape the nest. They will then form a nest in your wall voids. Treating the nest yourself could also result in a severe attack as both yellow jackets and bald faced hornets are able to sting multiple times.

Having ants in your home is no small problem. Most colonies can contain thousands of members and once they enter your home, they’ll leave a pheromone trail for the other members to follow.

Carpenter ants are particularly troublesome as they have been known to destroy the entire foundation of the home when left untreated.
